Happy New Year!! It felt good to change the calendar to 2009 this morning.  A new year, new ideas and lots of new art to look forward to.

Here is what I did for New Years Eve – Panel 5 of my Concertina Journal.

I am keeping the center areas on these panels simple and not encrusting with beads so that I can add the snap-on words when I am done with this panel set.

Here are some close-ups.  I love the look of the stacked turquoise beads with the red thread centers.

The feather stitching with the tiny pink and white flowers and green leaves were fun to create.  I will be using that again on another panel.
