Manifest Journals started

Here is the beginning of the Manifest Journals that I wrote about the past few days.  I tore the large watercolor sheet into 4 inch by 6 inch pages and began to assemble them.  The first journal became an accordion style book held together with deco tape, the only two I had were of a yellow ruler and a black cat head (obviously I will have to buy a few more).  This one has five pages for a total of ten sides to journal and collage on.  Below is side one.

Here is side two.

After this one was made, I had some left over pieces that were small.  I laid them on top of each other and made a miniature manifest journal.  This journal measures 2.25 inches by 4 inches and is held together with with tulle threaded through punched holes.  The punched holes in the front and back covers were reinforced with eyelets.

Isn’t this a pretty little journal?   You could collage pictures of your favorite things, cut out words that affirm or fill it with your favorite bible verses.  This would also make a lovely birthday gift for your favorite art buddy.

Enjoy!!!

  1. This book and background papers are gorgeous. You know I’m going to have to try them. I don’t see where you found time to make them. They look so labor intensive.

  2. Wonderful book Marci! I love how you bound them together, much like the 4×4’s I’m working on now. The ATC’s came out beautiful too, paper is delicious 🙂

Hi, Marci! These journals are positively scrumptious! I am noticing that you have a great sense of scale … picking shapes and images that aren’t too big and aren’t too small … but still you have a very nice mix and variety. And, you didn’t cover too much or too little. Everything seems “just right” and oh-so-perfect! I love it! 🙂

  6. I just love this little journal! I don’t have the Sommerset book, they are hard to get here. What did you use on the pages? Donna
