Pages 5-6 completed. I edited page 5 in Photoshop to blur some of the journaling. I used the Ocean Ripple distortion – very cool looking.
Pages 7-8. On page 8, I recycled a perfume sample case, you know the ones that they hand out at the department stores? You get home and hate the fragrance! Well, I gesso’d the card, applied a used color splashed paper towel to the front using gel medium, watercolored the inside pages and then journaled a few thoughts. The photo below is of the sample case opened. Again, I used the Ocean Ripple distortion in Photoshop to blur the journaling. Some thoughts are meant to be kept private but I wanted to show the art work.
Enjoy! and remember Keep It Simple!
i admire your lettering style & use of color! 🙂
Bravo marci, loving your pages! Have you seen the CPS’s mag called Pages? The next one is coming out soon and my art journal is in it and on the cover! I am altering a journal I got at the Goodwill. I will have to send you some photos. But I am going to look carefully at your pages for inspiration.
