Last night I wanted to play in my art journal but wasn’t inspired by anything on my art table. So I decided to create paint sample cards, a mini color wheel. I started with my Liquitex Soft Body Acrylics.
I didn’t gesso the cards first, just put a spot of paint on it and brushed it on. On the back of each card I have written the brand, type and color. I plan to do this with all of the paints, inks and watercolors that I have. Why didn’t I do this long ago – it would have prevented me from buying duplicates since I didn’t remember what I had.
The tags are watercolor paper that came in a small ring bound journal ordered from Jet Pens last year.
Keep it simple!
What a brilliant idea! I love the idea that you are including the color name and manufacturer. Everything you need in one spot!
