Continuing on my own journey with Sarah Whitmire’s Day 8 tutorial. Paint over the tape with dry brush acrylic. I used a green first, wiped off most of it, then added a brown over it and wiped most of that off. I re-sanded the pages to get a worn look and here is my result.
I loved working with the different tapes, sanding and painting. Look at the great texture that was created.
This is a great technique and I can’t wait to try it on other things. Thanks again, Sarah for this great idea. Until next time, keep it simple.
P.S. I cut this English rose, Gertrude Jekyll (a David Austin Rose) from my garden and pressed it into my journal. It has the strongest damask scent and will fragrance an entire room. Lovely!!
I love the way your taped pages turned out – so much wonderful texture!
Love the texture and colors you chose for your taped pages! We’re about at the same point in the process. So cool to see what everyone else is doing, along with making my own pages! 🙂
I love the results of your taped pages. I too really enjoyed discovering the use of tapes for my projects.
